The strike was suspended at Radio France, the management having decided to suspend the negotiations on the layoffs "due to the exceptional situation linked to the coronavirus", announced the CGT of the group in a press release.

"After having discussed it with the employees in GA today, the CGT decided to lift the current notice from Friday March 13, 2020 at midnight," said the union.

"Negotiations (between unions and management, note) and the implementation of the reorganizations are interrupted for a period of 15 days, renewable every fortnight as long as the situation requires," he continues.

"Anyway, Sibyle Veil wanted to remind today that it still intends to realize the savings announced and cut jobs. If this is confirmed, the CGT will call employees to resume the strike," said the union. .

Radio France was hit in late 2019 and early 2020 by the longest strike in its history and that of public broadcasting, lasting 63 days.

The strike against the layoffs resumed on Thursday and Friday after a first suspension of more than a month.
