According to Whelan’s other lawyer, Olga Karlina, the Moscow City Court’s hearing on the case “will begin before March 28.”
“It was up to this date that his arrest was extended,” TASS quoted her as saying.
On February 28, Carlin announced that the investigation into Whelan’s case was completed.
In December 2018, the FSB announced that Paul Whelan was detained during an espionage campaign in Moscow.
