Cyclist hatred, car hatred, all forms of hate in traffic are dangerous and can lead to accidents that could be avoided. Motorists are angry with cyclists because they come from nowhere, do not respect traffic lights, or are alert enough to be seen in traffic. Pedestrians are angry with cyclists because they come from nowhere, bikes too fast, bicycles on sidewalks, etc.

Many of the problems and much of the hatred can be eliminated if the infrastructure for bicycles is actually tailored specifically for bicycles so that cyclists can stay there, travel safely, without having to choose roads where they put themselves or others at risk.

The infrastructure for cyclists must be given immediate priority and a special focus. It is a convenient, fast and climate and environmentally friendly way of transporting through the city.

Unfortunately I have developed a great hatred for cyclists. Last summer I was being hit at least once every day when I was going to or from work. Then hearing that the bike lanes don't measure up doesn't make it any better. Daniel Helldén seems to have known that they do not and will not do it anyway, so he continues with the work. What responsibility does he have as a politician for this?
