This was announced by the co-chair of the working group to discuss changes to the main law of the country, Andrei Klishas.
“The Federation Council received the results of voting in the legislative assemblies of subjects of more than two-thirds of Russia's regions, as provided for in Article 136 of the Constitution of Russia,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
According to Klishas, all the feedback from the regional parliaments on the bill was positive.
The law on the amendment to the Constitution was approved by the Federation Council during a meeting on Wednesday, March 11.
Earlier, URA.RU reported that deputies of the Tyumen Regional Duma supported the draft update of the Constitution of Russia.
