The US Department of State annual report on human rights in the world has criticized the human rights situation in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and other countries.

The report added that the UAE denies that any forces supporting it in Yemen have committed any violations.

On human rights in Saudi Arabia, the report said that the Saudi government has not punished in the cases of several officials accused of human rights violations.

He stated that human rights violations in the Kingdom include several practices, including enforced disappearance and arbitrary detention.

The report said that a Saudi court had executed five officials in the assassination case of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, and acquitted three others.

He stressed that the position of the US State Department on this crime has not changed, and that Saudi Arabia lacks transparency in this regard.
