A password saved her from kidnapping . Having a secret word with her family , a code that only she, her parents and her brother knew. If at any time, the parents had insisted again and again, some stranger tells you to go with him, ask him if he knows. And if he doesn't know, run away. That day arrived last Sunday, in the afternoon, when Ch. Walked along Major de Esporles Street, the town of Mallorca where he lives with his family, of Canadian origin.
A middle-aged couple, between 45 and 50, approached him, told him that his mother had asked them to go with them "to the caravan, to have an ice cream." With only six years, Ch. Immediately remembered that resource that had been repeated so many times at home. Very quickly, he asked those two strangers: "Do you know the secret word?"
"Pork!", The woman said at random, in an attempt to hit that key. But that was not the word that Ch. Needed to hear to go with them, so he tried to run away. When the couple saw that the girl had realized that they were trying to kidnap her, the woman grabbed her arm, where she left her fingernails marked, but Ch .. managed to get rid of her and run away, run to her house .
The story is told in detail by the mother of Ch. In an audio to which this newspaper has had access. "My stomach is turned," he says, dismayed by what happened. After the attempted kidnapping, he went to report the facts to the school, the local police of the town and the City Council.
The Civil Guard took over the investigation and took their statement. There are no more witnesses than the girl, who drew a picture of the couple as a robot portrait that has been distributed by Esporles. On it, the girl drew a woman with long hair and a jacket in her hand and a man with glasses and short hair. The word "bad" next to two arrows that points to them. Sandwiches with legends come out of the couple, as in the comics, where you can read how she says: "Your mother has told us that we have to pick you up." The man says the following: "Girl, your mother has said to pick you up and bring you to the caravan and give you ice cream (sic)." The word "Alert" written in capital letters with large exclamation marks tops the picture. In the lower right corner, the girl's name and an arrow indicate the exclamation "Ahhh!", Making it clear that she, although not in the drawing, managed to escape from those who tried to kidnap her.
In the audio, the mother implies that similar situations have been experienced in other parts of Mallorca that could be attempts to kidnap minors by that same couple. However, the Civil Guard denies this point and, to questions of this newspaper, deny that they have received any other such complaint.
