A firefighter was hit by a motorist on Tuesday while he was working on a road in Maromme (Seine-Maritime). The fire soldier was marking out the area after a tree fell on the public highway.
The facts occurred around 7:30 p.m. The driver forced the passage at the place where the firefighter intervened, near a roundabout, and struck him in passing, reports 76actu .
It takes a highway interchange in the opposite direction
After the impact, the car stopped a few meters further. The injured firefighter called the driver to get out of his vehicle, but the latter fled.
The motorist headed for the motorway, using the A150 interchange in the opposite direction. Slightly injured in the leg, the firefighter was taken care of by his colleagues and taken to the Rouen University Hospital. An investigation is underway to find the driver.
