The 14-year-old girl who died after taking a selfie on the roof of a linear city building last Saturday had already taken that part of the building on other occasions even though it was forbidden to access that area of the block, several neighbors explained To this newspaper. LS, a student of the Liceo school, died when he leaned on a rooftop plastic skylight that yielded so he rushed into the stairwell of the block located at number 74 of Agastia Street. At the time of the accident, a self-portrait was taking place with her mobile, as confirmed by the Police after interviewing the minors who accompanied her at that time and among those who were several friends.

The accident occurred around 18.19 hours. The deceased teenager had climbed with her brothers to her grandmother's house, who lives in the same building, since her father was traveling abroad.

The minor and her friends accessed the rooftop area, located at the height of a sixth floor, which has restricted access and which can only be entered with the key that has the doorman of the farm, as explained by residents.

When she was on the rooftop, the girl went to make a self-portrait with her cell phone and leaned on the skylight. The methacrylate skylight cracked and the minor slipped inside falling to the block ladder from the top of the building. Summa's doctors could not prevent his death even though they were quickly notified by friends.

A neighbor of the block confirmed to Efe that the "community door that gave access to the roof was always closed to lime and song 24 hours a day," so he suspects that the young women must have climbed a wall of about two meters from the upper terrace using a chair or a staircase with several steps.

Another tenant of the building where the tragic accident occurred explained that the child lived on the third floor and that she had gone up to her grandmother's house, which resides on the fifth floor. “The part of the roof is reserved only for maintenance issues and only the doorman has keys, it is a place that has prohibited access,” added this resident, who said that on the roof there was a methacrylate skylight that yielded by weight of the girl and opened, causing him to fall to the stairs of the building and die almost immediately.

Residents indicated that it was not the first time that the child had risen to that area to take a picture at that highest point of the building where she lived. However, they added that the girl had never endangered her life to take a picture in that upper enclave of the block.

Residents of another building on Agastia Street also indicated that they had once seen several boys on the roof of the tragedy building taking pictures of each other even though they had never called the police or had warned the doorman of the farm to warn them of what was happening.

Last Sunday dozens of classmates from the Liceo Francés school, close to Arturo Soria, went to the funeral home to say goodbye to the child.
