It is a route that Saudi Prime Minister Abdallah Hamdok takes almost daily. The one who takes him from his home to his offices located in the city center, via the bridge in the Kobar district, in the northeast of the capital. It was then that he entered this bridge that the convoy was targeted . Very quickly, the Prime Minister was evacuated to a safe place. The blast injured only one police officer.

An "attack on the Revolution"

In the minutes that followed, dozens of anonymous people spontaneously found themselves at the scene of the attack to show their support for the Prime Minister, and to denounce those they call " the enemies of the Revolution ".

" This is really shocking news for us Sudanese because it is the first time this has happened here, and God willing we will go through this ordeal together ," said one of them. It’s Hamdok, the Prime Minister and he will remain so ! There will be even more people to support it ! "

The attack was not claimed and the identity of its sponsors is the subject of all speculation. An investigation has been opened. In a press release, the Prime Minister denounced " an attack on the Revolution ". This attempted attack also recalls the fragility of the political process under way in Sudan, where Abdallah Hamdok became Prime Minister following last year's revolution, and where civilians and soldiers share power.
