First death of a resident of Pas-de-Calais. The Lille hospital center noted, last weekend, the death of a patient carrying the coronavirus, Covid-19. “It is a 49-year-old woman living in Pas-de-Calais. She had been taken care of at the Lille University Hospital when her state of health had deteriorated, "said the Pas-de-Calais prefecture on Tuesday.

No other details are provided by the prefecture or the regional health agency (ARS) concerning this death. They are instructed not to communicate, in particular, the cities of origin of patients affected by the coronavirus, according to France 3.

Fifteenth death in Hauts-de-France

It is the fifteenth death observed in the Hauts-de-France region. On Monday, five had been recorded in the last 24 hours, according to the ARS: a 76-year-old man and an 87-year-old woman, originally from the Somme; a 49-year-old woman from Pas-de-Calais; a 78 year old man from Oise and a 77 year old man from Aisne.

Since the confirmation of the first two cases of coronavirus in the Oise on February 25, the number of people resident in Hauts-de-France with a positive diagnosis amounted, on Monday, to 181. The Oise remains the department most affected with an important chain of contamination.
