09 March 202017.53 The closure of Piazza Affari confirms the black day for the Milan stock exchange in the wake of the coronavirus emergency and the failure of the OPEC agreement on crude oil. The Ftse Mib index falls by 11.17%, falling to 18,475 points. This is the second biggest fall in a session since the birth of the index, in 1988, after the one following the referendum on Brexit on 24 June 2016. The spread flies to 225 points. Piazza Affari was the worst stock exchange in Europe. Burned 63.5bn in one day.
