This Monday morning, two men, 22 and 29 years old, are still in police custody at the central police station in Toulouse. They are suspected of having brutally beat two municipal police officers on the night of Saturday to Sunday, in the city center.

It was around 3:45 a.m. when the agents intervened in Place Saint-Pierre to end a brawl. But the duo of attackers then turned against the officials, put on the ground and then kicked and punched, including in the face.

The young men fled, chased by security guards from a bar who attended the scene. They were finally arrested nearby by municipal and national police, rue des Blanchers.

The victim of the first assault, as well as the abused agents, were taken to the hospital. The latter two were prescribed three and five days of ITT.
