This time, three projectiles were fired from Sondok, not far from there.

"The military oversees further firing and maintains readiness," the South Korean military said in a statement.

Following last week's launch, North Korean state media reported that the country had been testing "long-range artillery" and that country's leader Kim Jong-Un had been present at the launches. The dictator must have expressed "great satisfaction" and should have urged the soldiers to train harder.

The new launches are the first in several months and come at a time of stalemate in talks between the US and North Korea. Last year, North Korea conducted 13 tests with at least 25 robots. Sanctions have been imposed on the country by the US, South Korea and the UN Security Council, among others.
