The French men's rugby sevens team, victorious in two of the three remaining games to save the honor, finished in 10th place in Vancouver, the sixth stage of the world circuit.

It was better for the Blues, the day after the three losses conceded in Pool B against Canada, Wales and Fiji.

The French, who remained in 7th place in Los Angeles the previous weekend, first won just against Ireland (22-21), thanks in particular to a superb test by Tavite Veredamu, after a breakthrough since his 22 meters from Rémi Siega.

They chained, more easily, against Samoa (19-0), before yielding - like their counterparts of the XV the same day in Edinburgh - against Scotland (12-7), which finishes 9th.

France, which slips to 6th place in the general classification, mainly aims to qualify for the Tokyo Games. For this she will have to win the Olympic Qualification Tournament (TQO) in June.

The Canadian stage was won by New Zealand at the expense of Australia (17-14).
