"The public health authority should take the situation seriously, just as it does in the UK," the doctors write in the debate article.

"Sweden's strategy for dealing with the situation seems to consist mainly in contact tracking and isolation of the sick."

This means doctors are insufficient.

Instead, Sweden should, among other things, "prevent large crowds of people, call for reduced travel, shut down schools and shut down departments in hospitals and other health care facilities if the staff is suspected of being infected."

Sweden must start with this strategy "at the earliest possible stage".

If this does not happen, it will have fatal effects.
