Anna comes from a municipality in western Sweden and is one of many young computer players who have been subjected to swatting and texting harassment lately. After the incident, she felt monitored.

- In my world, my phone had been hacked, and every time I sat with my cellphone after that evening, I thought someone might be looking at me through my mobile camera.

SMS harassment

It was one evening in January that the event took place. Like many times before, Anna sat playing computer games while filming herself and streamed the broadcast live on the Twitch site.

- It's funny. It becomes a kind of community, and you have your faithful followers there, she says.

A while into the game she received two strange sms. One came from the "police". There it was said that there was a gas leak in the facade, and that she had to evacuate immediately. The second text message came from her brother - judging by the phone number.

"I have had a heart attack and will go to the hospital so I will not be able to answer tomorrow morning, call me!", It said.

Swattad

But Anna had no idea. She talked to her followers on the streaming site about the events, which meant that Anna's phone could have been hacked. Anna then shut down her live broadcast, but continued talking to some friends over the internet, via a voice chat.

- They told me that the police did not send such text messages, and it felt strange that my brother would text me about such a thing.

Suddenly it knocked hard on Anna's door and window. The sound also leaked into her microphone and frightened her friends.

- These knocks did not end. I thought these people who are outside will break in. So then I thought that the only thing I can do now is open the door. If I die, I die now, I thought.
