The emotion had been strong in the town of Danjoutin, near Belfort, in mid-February. On the night of 13-14, a family was kidnapped at home. Three men broke a door before tying up the father, mother and their child to get money. They had finally withdrawn cash from an ATM with the family's bank card, says L'Est Républicain.

On Wednesday, two teenagers aged 17 and 18 were arrested in Belfort, according to France Bleu Territoire de Belfort. They were found thanks to video surveillance tapes and DNA analyzes carried out in the victims' homes. The two defendants admitted the facts and were indicted for forcible confinement and extortion, before being imprisoned, according to local radio. A third suspect, also a minor, is still believed to be on the run.
