China News Agency, Taipei, March 8th. An industrial safety accident occurred in Beipu Township, Hsinchu County, Taiwan on the evening of the 7th, and three power workers fell to the ground and died.

According to Taiwan media reports such as the Central News Agency and "Lianhe Daily", the Hsinchu County Fire Department stated that at 6pm on the 7th, a report was received from the public that an accident occurred at a construction site in Waiping Village, Beipu Township. Firefighters arrived at the scene and found that the construction cable car fell to the ground, 3 workers fell to the ground, 2 died on the spot, and 1 person was hospitalized. It was later confirmed that the incident occurred at the construction site of the Taiwan Electric Power Company (Taipower) power tower foundation project.

According to witnesses at the scene, at the time of the incident, three workers who carried out the construction of the power tower were on the cable car. When the gondola was about 10 stories high, the engine was suspected to be malfunctioning, the gondola slipped off at high speed, and three people were thrown from a height and dropped to the ground.

Taichung spokesman Xu Zaohua pointed out to the media that preliminary understanding that three people had slipped and fell to the ground due to a cable car stall and had ordered a complete shutdown of the construction site.

The Hsinchu District Prosecutor's Prosecutor visited the accident site on the 8th and found that the cable car used by the three deceased was used to carry goods, not to carry people.
