New Coronavirus Egypt's first fatality March 9 at 4:30

The Egyptian Ministry of Health announced on August 8 that a 60-year-old German man who had been infected with the new coronavirus had died.

This is the first death of a patient infected with the new coronavirus in Egypt.

The man had been visiting Egypt for about a week and was hospitalized with severe fever and respiratory failure due to severe pneumonia when traveling from the southern tourist destination Luxor to a resort on the Red Sea, the Hurghada. However, he became ill and died on the 8th.
