KUALA LUMPUR, March 7 (Xinhua)-The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia issued a statement on the 7th, welcoming that the Hague Court of the Netherlands will open a trial of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17, and hope that this trial will become a milestone in restoring the truth.

The statement also stated that Malaysia emphasized that the process should be based on law, credible and transparent, so that justice can be demonstrated.

The statement said that Malaysia, as a member of the joint air crash investigation team, will continue to work on the judicial process and investigation of this incident.

The statement also called on all parties concerned to cooperate fully with the investigation in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 2166.

On July 17, 2014, Malaysia Airlines Airways flight MH17 from Amsterdam, Netherlands to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia crashed in Ukraine near the Russian border, killing all 298 people on board, including 43 Malaysian passengers and crew members.

The Malaysia Airlines MH17 joint air crash investigation team previously announced that criminal proceedings had been instituted against four suspects, including one Ukrainian and three Russian citizens, and four suspects were charged with murder.
