The Montpellier handballers hardly reached the semi-finals of the Coupe du France, going to win in Créteil, red lantern of the French championship, on penalties, while the Parisians did not do it in detail against Dunkirk, Sunday.

Apart from the elimination of Aix (6th in Starligue) by Chartres (10th) Saturday evening (32-30), the logic was respected with the qualifications of Montpellier (4th), Paris SG (1st) and Nantes (2nd).

In Créteil, the men of Patrice Canayer nevertheless had an excellent first period, escaping by eight goals (18-10) at the break. But they saw the Cristoliens come back and snatch the penalty shootout (28-28).

The people of Montpellier had the last word, thanks to a seven-meter throw made by the Argentinian Diego Simonet.

PSG did not know such scares, easy winner of Dunkirk (32-21), while Nantes overpowered Ivry (43-26).
