The Ministry of Education has decided that registering students in government schools for the next academic year will be through the Ministry's website only, and the decision will coincide with the procedures to disable students starting tomorrow for a period of four weeks.

The Ministry stated, through its account on "Telegram," that the date for registering citizen students, children of female citizens and the like, began at the beginning of this month, and will continue until April 16, while registration for students residing in government schools starts from 22 of this month and continues until April 16.

The Ministry published an explanation of the "electronic registration" mechanism for students wishing to study in government schools for the academic year (2020/2021), explaining that the electronic registration service for kindergarten classes (1 and 2), and the first grade allows their parents to submit their children's requests in government schools for the academic year Next according to the place of residence of the student, pointing to the need to observe several procedures before the start of registration, namely:

- If the person who wishes to register his son is the parent of a student who is currently on study seats, then he must choose "an existing student in public schools" to enter the "parents and students" portal, to submit a request to reserve a seat for the existing student or register a new student.

- If the student's parent does not have children in government schools, he must select the “New Student” box to create an account so that he can submit a new student registration application. Parents of students who do not know their accounts on the "Parents" portal, should take the same procedure to apply for any of the available services.

Finally, the Ministry stated in a circular distributed to schools that the targeted students are citizens of the state, children of citizens (registration summary holders), children of citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council, decree holders (holders of valid UAE passports), Comoros students, and resident students.

It stipulated that non-citizens students in government schools, who are transferred from private education or coming from outside the state, must be accepted, with their Arabic and English language scores having a (A) and (B) in mathematics, taking into account that the number of those admitted does not exceed 20% of the total number of students in the school, and the same percentage from one division.

Regarding the conditions for continuing in government schools for students who are not actually "enrolled" non-citizens, the Ministry stated that it focuses on continuing to achieve the requirement of excellence, meeting previous tuition fees, paying 50% of tuition fees at the beginning of the next academic year, and committing to student density by 20%, And that the student be of good conduct and behavior.

Registration fees for non-citizens and Comoros students are set at 6 thousand dirhams, provided that 1,000 dirhams are paid when reserving the seat, and a portion of the tuition fee is calculated, bearing in mind that the student is obliged to provide a copy of the first semester certificate, and proof of housing (lease or ownership Home), and a letter to whom it may concern, proving the work of the guardian in a government or local authority (for expatriates), provided that the supporting documents of the student and the guardian are valid.

Electronic registration

The Ministry stated that the electronic registration is available to students in schools kindergarten and grades one to twelve, and registration in schools schools (1 and 2) and first grade is available for Emirati students only.

The applicants must download all the required documents, such as a copy of the identity, a birth certificate, and proof of residence. The requests submitted will be verified by the Ministry, and the applicant must be informed of any action taken on the application via an SMS.

The deadline for registering citizen students, children of female citizens, and the like will last until April 16.
