• Last squatted municipal building. Almeida evicts the Ungovernable and warns that there will be "zero tolerance"
  • New use.The Prado building squatted by the Ungovernable will house the Jewish Museum in Madrid

Just three months after the Madrid City Council evicted the La Ingobernable building, the self-managed association has once again squatted a new building in the center of the capital, very close to its old headquarters.

The collective has chosen in this case a state-owned property at number 4 of Alberto Bosch Street, at the back of the Prado Museum, and has displayed on its facade a yellow and violet banner with the motto "we continue in the heart from Madrid".

The eviction of the Ungovernable from the building of Governor Street 39 had been one of the mayor's mantras, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, during the election campaign and his first months of office until last November 13 the intervention took place of the municipal corporation.

Just a month ago, the Consistory announced at the Government Board that the former headquarters of La Ingobernable would be transferred to a Spanish-Jewish foundation to create a museum in the central Paseo Del Prado.

Now the group has returned to take a new public building to recover the self-managed social center, open to the public since Wednesday.
