The PP has plunged into the 8-M celebrations with a renewed sense of belonging to the feminist cause. The party has prepared a video in which the main leaders of the party celebrate International Women's Day and value their achievements in pursuit of equality. Isabel Díaz Ayuso, Ana Pastor, Andrea Levy, Ana Beltrán , Cuca Gamarra , Cayetana Álvarez de Toledo, Elvira Rodríguez , Marimar Blanco and Belén Hoyo star in the spot , in which they first define themselves as "women" and then highlight the virtues of some of its main political rivals.

This is one of the central mobilization initiatives that the party has prepared for the 8-M, International Women's Day. Under the leadership of Cuca Gamarra, deputy secretary of Social Policies, the popular have taken a turn with respect to last year: this time they will go to the demonstrations in an "institutional" way, even with their own manifesto. But not all: Álvarez de Toledo, a parliamentary spokesman who calls himself "Amazonian feminist", and Díaz Ayuso, president of the Community of Madrid , have refused to join the initiative. It is important to highlight that they are the two women with the highest political rank of the party.

"I am a woman of my time," says Gamarra when defining herself. "Women, what we want is independence, and not having to ask anyone's permission," sums up Vice President of Congress Ana Pastor. "I am, first and foremost, a free woman," synthesizes Álvarez de Toledo in the first third of the spot . "I define myself as a fighter because of what I believe in, in love with my family and my work," Beltrán. And "I am a worker," Rodriguez.

Then, a topic is labeled ("they say that women like to talk about other women") that leads each of them to personally praise a political leader of another party. Álvarez de Toledo is responsible for talking about Inés Arrimadas. And he says that "if I had to highlight a virtue of Ines Arrimadas purely feminine, I could not highlight the most important of it, because bravery is not an exclusively feminine attribute, but of all people, regardless of any identity consideration."

Levy, one of the popular leaders who have always joined the feminist demands, says in the video that she has "empathized many times" with Ada Colau, since both have been "judged" for their private lives and for their physical appearances, ensures. Gamarra

There is an overwhelming passage in the video. It is starred by Ana Beltrán, who is excited to talk about Irene Montero, leader of United Podemos. Not because he shares "absolutely nothing" in politics, but because they both have in common "suffering for the birth of some children." In the case of the minister, the children, premature, got ahead. "Not mine," confesses number three of the PP, who lost a daughter.

In the final third, the spot offers data to vindicate its commitment to equality: "The PP is one of the parties with the highest female representation, 51.5%." This has helped the PP to create the slogan Woman above all , to which a subtitle is added: "Independent, free and capable."
