Already on Monday March 2, the ECOWAS said it could not " recognize bodies created and installed outside the constitutional and legal frameworks ". But Umaro Sissoco Embalo, who organized his own inauguration last week, is installed in the presidential palace, and he chaired, yesterday, Wednesday, March 4, a Council of Ministers of the government he appointed. It reaffirms its legitimacy, even if the Supreme Court has not decided on electoral disputes .

" We are in Africa! "

At the government palace, the ministers of Nuno Nabian display their priority: settle the social conflict with the public service agents on strike for two months. Asked about the position of several MEPs who denounce a " threat to democracy " and talk about sanctions, Umaro Sissoco Embalo, replies: " We are not part of the European Union, we are in Africa! We are just partners. Bissau-Guinean MPs could also write a letter to the political affairs of the African Union asking for sanctions against a member of the European Union! It is irrelevant. "

" Urgent " to find solutions

National radio and television have reopened, but the Supreme Court remained under military control yesterday. Elisa Pinto, president of the Peace and Security Network for Women in the Cedeao area, calls for respect for the Constitution: “ It is really urgent for the international community to help find solutions. Still, we await communications from the Supreme Court. "

Umaro Sissoco Embalo's camp believes that the National Election Commission has already ruled in its favor.
