12 government quick response teams departed today (5th) to support more than 270 Koreans who were quarantined in Vietnam.

As a team of four employees from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Police Agency, the three teams were divided into three regions in Ho Chi Minh and Vietnam.

[Dr. Jong Ho / Head of Rapid Response Team (Ministry of Foreign Affairs): It is the most important thing to be able to quickly get rid of the quarantine and to help those who go forward without any trouble.]

We plan to return the facilities to at least home quarantine and provide consular assistance to returnees as soon as possible.

I will be staying for about a week, but I am considering an extension depending on the situation.

Today, more than 1,160 people are isolated from around the world.

Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-hwa, who visited the airport, encouraged the response team, foreseeing restrictions on entry from Korea if the domestic situation calms down.

[Kang, Kyung-Hwa / Minister of Foreign Affairs: The number of confirmed students was very high, but I think it will decrease a little in the future. As the domestic situation calms down, I expect many restrictions and bans to be released.]

There are currently 96 places where Singapore has blocked or restricted entry into Korea, including banning Koreans from 00:00 today.
