"The Ministry of Defense of Nepal has sent an invitation to the Russian Ministry of Defense to jointly climb Everest this year," RIA Novosti quotes Rishi's ambassador Rishi Ram Ghimire.

He noted that Nepal is awaiting a response from Russia to the proposal that was sent a month ago.

According to him, the ascent may take place in May.

“We also invited the military of India, China, and the USA. It will be an international ascent, ”the ambassador added, noting that the Nepal army would bear the costs of the climb.

Earlier, in 2019, the Nepal mountain climber Nirmal Purja set a new world record in the framework of the “Mission Achievable - 14/7” project, having conquered the 14 highest mountain peaks of the planet in 189 days.
