After his muscular outing of the weekend in Bamako where he notably harshly criticized the government, Imam Dicko, former president of the High Islamic Council of Mali and sponsor of a political association was summoned on Tuesday by the justice system. But he did not have time to go there because thousands of his supporters took to the streets to refuse to appear before the prosecutor. The summons was therefore canceled.

" The public prosecutor invites Mr. Mahmoud Dicko, an imam profession, to come to his office, " said the summons. But on D-Day, real human clusters storm the Bamako commune 5 court.

All are won over to the cause of the imam who this weekend made his political comeback during which he notably harshly criticized the government. Justice wanted to hear him on words made during this return.

As he was about to go to the judge, the tension was at its height. A member of the government, all dressed in white, therefore went to the imam's house, apologized to him for the summons, and announced that it had been canceled. Mamoud Dicko still decided to go and greet in court his very many supporters who carried him in triumph.

The spokesman for the Imam, however, hardened the tone and confirmed that Mahmoud Dicko will take this Friday the head of a great march in Bamako. " No violence, we are Republicans, " said Issa Kaou Ndjim. The people who will go out on Friday will prove that the people are no longer with Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta. And we are going to ask the people to tell IBK that it is time to leave because they have failed. Its failure is political, economic, military and social "

Authorities have yet to announce whether the march will be allowed.
