On March 30, the first cruise ship will add to Visby. It is the first of a record 138 calls to the new cruise wharf. 150,000 visitors are expected from the vessels. The tourists come from all corners of the world and the risk of coronas has made the cruise lines vigilant. This is what Visby's terminal manager says at the large cruise operator Copenhagen Malmö Port, CMP.

- Today, no person is allowed to go on a cruise boat if you have passed South Korea, Iran, China including Hong Kong and Macao. All passengers may also sign a health declaration before boarding the boats. Some shipping companies, which handle the really large vessels, also introduce body temperature scanning before boarding, says Henrik Ahlqvist, terminal manager at Visby for CMP.

Should a ship heading for Visby have suspected corona on board, the ship will be referred to the quarantine ports that are available:

Gävle, Gothenburg, Helsingborg, Luleå, Malmö, Stockholm, Sundsvall, Umeå.
