They may have imagined that the agents of the central video surveillance station in Toulouse were not 24 hours a day behind their screens. During the night of February 29 to March 1, just before 2 a.m., the operators observed young people installing a ladder on the mast of a network camera, Chemin de Papus.

They attended their ride until the camera went out of service. The latter had indeed destroyed it with a hammer, after installing a ladder leaning on the mast to reach it. Informed quickly, members of a brigade of the National Police went on the spot.

Complaint of the town hall

Thanks to the recordings made by the camera before its destruction, the municipal police were able to give precise reports of the authors of the degradations to the police on the spot.

Two 17-year-olds were thus arrested. One admitted the facts, the other did not. One was summoned to justice, the other was summoned to the delegate of the public prosecutor.

The town hall has for its part already lodged a complaint for deterioration of the public good.
