Maria fell ill after attending the Berlin Film Festival. As we mentioned earlier, she worried that it might be the new corona virus because she has been on a big event with many northern Italians. That is why she called the nursing information 1177 as Region Stockholm recommends, and there all the tours start.

She called 1177 several times, got disconnected, got a medical team without protective suits, was advised to go to the local emergency room, but was eventually sent to the Sös emergency room on Monday with her baby who was also ill. Without any contagion.

"Outrageous that I ended up in regular emergency"

As she was not in risk areas or met any confirmed infected, she was not considered at risk. Maria was given a room to wait in the emergency room but after several hours she wanted to know what happened.

A doctor called Maria and said they wanted to put her in the infection clinic at Karolinska Huddinge. Then a doctor called and said that she was absolutely not allowed to leave the room. She was also asked to call everyone she met the last few days and ask them to stay home until she received an answer whether she has covid-19 or not.

Negative test answers

During Tuesday afternoon, Mary received a response, whether she or her son had been infected by the corona virus.

- It feels great, but the process could have been easier, says Maria.
