A middle-aged woman in Stockholm who has returned from a trip in Iran a week earlier will be the first case in Stockholm.

February 28

Two more people in the Stockholm region are found to be infected by the new corona virus.

The two people are related to the woman who was confirmed infected the day before. Iran is now identified as one of the hardest hit countries. The people are kept isolated, the medical service announces.

February 29th

Another case in the Stockholm area is noted. He is linked to the middle-aged woman who had traveled in Iran, and was discovered through infection tracking.

March 2

Another person in the Stockholm region is found infected with the corona virus. The person recently came to Sweden from northern Italy, and is cared for at the Karolinska University Hospital's infection clinic.

March 3rd

Ten new cases in the Stockholm region are noted. At lunchtime, four new cases are confirmed in the Stockholm region. Everyone has traveled in Italy. During the evening, six more cases are confirmed. Four have traveled in northern Italy and one is related to one of these. The sixth person recently arrived from Iran. There is no connection to previous cases in Stockholm.
