Handcuffed and feet shackled, Muhammad was forced for the 135th time to endure the suffering of deportation in Israeli (middle) prison vehicles, which lasts three to four days before being brought to trial, and is interrupted by overnight conditions in difficult humanitarian conditions.

Engineer Muhammad Al-Halabi (42 years), from the Gaza Strip, in the prisons of the Israeli occupation, and the author of the longest trial in the history of the captive movement, is still suffering before the occupation judiciary, who could not convict him on any charge since his arrest in June 2016.

Al-Halabi, who is director of the World Vision Foundation in the sector specialized in relief and humanitarian aid, was arrested on his return from Jerusalem through the Beit Hanoun / Erez crossing with the Gaza Strip after a regular meeting.

Citizens with a master’s degree in civil engineering face numerous charges from the Israeli judiciary, the most prominent of which is the financing of entities and people affiliated with “terrorist” organizations.

legal status
Maher Hanna, the lawyer for the prisoner, confirmed that there is no substantive evidence to date to confirm the allegations of the occupation prosecution against his client, explaining that all the evidence presented to the court refutes all charges.

He tells Al-Jazeera Net, "They claim in the prosecution that they have secret evidence that cannot be talked about and bear the testimony of a person who claims to have heard Muhammad al-Halabi confess before him, and there is no other evidence."

He pointed out that extending the trials to his client is a way to pressure him and the institution after him, to reach a settlement, and to wave the punishment if the occupation does not submit to what he wants.

The 135th hearing on the third of this March will not be a hearing - as the lawyer says - but rather a session in which only the next hearings are scheduled, and a consideration of the petition submitted in order to set the hearings at close dates.

A political issue
"The Halabi case turned into a political issue in which Israel resisted in order to obtain any benefits, which is recognized by the Israeli prosecution in closed sessions with my clients, where it asserts that it will not let the statements of Prime Minister (Netanyahu) and the Minister of Defense and the Administrative Affairs Officer in the Halabi case appear As if it is absurd. "

He explained that the Israeli prosecution "is satisfied that the trial is confidential, so they will have no problem if Muhammad is judged unfairly."

Attractive offers
On the offers received by Al-Halabi, the lawyer said, "My clients were offered a prison for four years, three years, and two and a half years, in exchange for admitting anything, but we did not reach a stage of discussion, because my client rejected the idea altogether and in detail."

It is noteworthy that the case of al-Halabi is a security, and the occupation is satisfied with the investigation of the intelligence service and investigators, and there is usually recognition by the accused, which is not present in the case of al-Halabi.

Who is to be tried?
The lawyer pointed out that al-Halabi conclusively knows that "Israel" can not waive his condemnation of anything "for the sake of preserving her face," stressing that in light of the existing data, there is no escape before the Israeli judiciary except to exonerate al-Halabi.

He continued, "In our view, the case has shifted from the case of Israel against Al-Halabi to the opposite. Judgment on it will strip the Israeli judiciary before the world and reveal that it is unfair and weak, or prove the opposite and that it is still valid, either that Al-Halabi is acquitted or convicted.

According to the lawyer of the prisoner, witnesses from many countries attended, who confirmed the falsehood of the allegations against Al-Halabi, based on investigations carried out by several parties, including the Australian government and the World Vision Foundation.

Sudden arrest
For his part, the captive father, Khalil Al-Halabi, said, "When we lost contact with Muhammad during his return from travel, we never expected that he will be arrested because he travels a lot, because he is on a mission to work for the institution, and he has no partisan background or strange activity, not to mention his constant mixing with delegations. European high-level. "

Al-Halabi, the father, confirmed to Al-Jazeera Net that the indictment that the Israeli court brought to his son was "illogical" and proved its nullity with the testimony of the international organization, and all the witnesses who attended the court from Gaza and from all over the world.

Physical and psychological torture
The captive's father stressed that his son had been subjected to severe Israeli torture in "Al-Majdal Prison" for 52 days, as a result of which he had 40% of his right ear's hearing ability, adding, "Muhammad was subjected to ghosting, shackling, and beatings in order to confess to himself by forcing him, which he did not Complete".

"After that, Muhammad was transferred to the Nafha Al-Sahraoui prison, and he was visited for the first time by his mother and children, as they noticed signs of torture and a great weight loss."

The longest trial
The father pointed out that "Israel" is very exaggerating the charges against his son, as she says that he transferred seventy million dollars to terrorist organizations, while the Foundation's entire budget in the sector is two million dollars, which confirms that there is an attempt to dramatize the issue.

He explained, "The trials that are taking place in Muhammad are of no value, and it is only a process of attrition and extortion to produce any result," stressing that his son was his first and last concern to help people, especially those who were displaced by wars.

The Director of the World Vision Foundation worked to help the poor families in the sector, and to provide the simplest assistance and capabilities for them to live in dignity, and to support children psychologically after the wars, in the presence and permanent supervision of the Foundation's delegations.

On the accusation that Hamas appointed him to his post, the director of the institution inside the court denied the accusation, confirming that they had conducted a contest in Gaza through which Al-Halabi qualified for the interviews that were under his supervision, according to the family.

For the first time in the history of the captive Palestinian movement, the testimony of workers from Gaza is used through the technique of "video conference" after the occupation authorities refused to grant them permits to enter and attend the sessions.

Longing
Al-Halabi has five children who live today in their grandfather's house, the oldest of them is Khaled (17 years), who confirmed his great longing for his father, especially for those trips that he accompanied them around the world, and his great interest in their education and details of their daily lives.

Khaled indicated that his father had always asked his grandmother during visits about poor families, and about the projects undertaken by the Foundation in Gaza, and reminded people of their names to reassure them.

In previous statements, Al-Halabi Square was acquitted of both the Australian government and the World Vision Foundation after long investigations, interrogation of dozens of workers, and review of the institution's data.
