• Coronavirus, Lagarde: ready to take appropriate and targeted measures

March 03, 2020 G7 finance ministers and central bankers are ready to "use all the appropriate tools" against the coronavirus emergency. This is what we read in the final press release of the meeting held via conference call. This is the first meeting called to coordinate the actions of the main world economies, so as to reassure investors and cushion shocks on the markets and the economy in general.

In addition, central banks will continue "in the execution of their mandates, including support for price stability and growth". In general, G7 finance ministers and central banks are ready to cooperate "further to deal with the coronavirus".
