Abu Dhabi Misdemeanor Court, today, issued court rulings in 4 cases, accused of defaming and slandering the presenter, Wassim Youssef, on social media.

In two cases, the court ruled that the right to complain fell and the court did not have jurisdiction to hear the case in its civil case. In the third case, the defendant faced two counts of insult.

The Abu Dhabi Misdemeanor Court issued a judgment in absentia in the fourth case, ruling that the defendant be fined 20 thousand dirhams, the payment of 30 thousand dirhams to Wasim Youssef as compensation, and the denial of Twitter for 3 months.

It is worth noting that the number of cases filed by Wassim Youssef against citizens and residents, accusing them of insulting him and slandering him on social media, reached 19 cases, and "earlier" rulings were issued in absentia in three cases, including against defendants who left the country.

Youssef had been attacked on social media months ago because of his talk about "Sahih Al Bukhari", and Youssef said in a tweet last June through his official page on Twitter, that 163 Twitter accounts will be referred to the Public Prosecution, indicating that he worked to collect tweets Issued by these accounts.

He continued, saying: "I have endured a lot, but unfortunately they have gone on. They practiced the most severe bullying, bad manners and insults. For this," I swear to God, I will not give up my right, and eliminate us, "he said.
