The head of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, has thrown balls out in the ' Ábalos case , on the visit to Barajas of the vice president of the Government of Maduro, Delcy Rodríguez.

The minister was asked about the requirements that the investigating court 47 has demanded from the Ministry of Interior about the protocols for action in the Schengen area and those responsible for carrying them out at the airport. The judicial action comes after a court blocked the destruction of the recordings of January 20, the day the Venezuelan vice president was in Barajas.

The minister, who appeared this morning to take stock of Interior's action on missing persons, referred to the courts. He said that all the information should be provided by the judicial authorities that deal with this matter and that the Ministry of Interior, "as always", is limited to addressing all claims that come from the courts. He did not clarify, then, if his Department has already responded to the court's request.

The judge wants to know how to proceed police when entering Schengen space, who are responsible for that control, and how to handle a situation of prohibition of entry into that space.

The vice president of Venezuela, with whom Minister Ábalos held a "at least one hour" meeting at the airport, according to the Police, was banned from entering the Schengen area. Since this case broke out, the Interior Minister has always maintained that Delcy Rodriguez had not set foot in national territory.

There have been three complaints filed before the Justice against the minister. These denunciations restrained the destruction of the Aena tapes that collected images of the meeting of Ábalos at the Barajas airport with the number two of Nicolás Maduro.
