476 new cases in South Korea

China (excluding the territories of Hong Kong and Macao), where the epidemic broke out in December, recorded 80,026 cases on Monday, including 2,912 deaths. A total of 202 new infections were announced on Monday.

Italy, the main center for coronavirus in Europe, has recorded 1,694 cases including 566 new ones and 34 deaths.

In Germany, the number of people infected almost doubled during the weekend, reaching Sunday the figure of 129. Another acute source of contamination in Europe, France reported Sunday 130 people infected with the virus since late January , two of whom died.

After Ireland, Luxembourg and Armenia, the Czech Republic has announced its first cases of infection. The Dominican Republic has become the fourth country in Latin America to be affected by the coronavirus.
