China News Service, March 2. According to the Japan Broadcasting Association (NHK), as of 6 pm local time, Japan has added another 11 new cases of newly diagnosed pneumonia, with a total of 973 confirmed cases.
These included 254 people infected and Japanese tourists in Japan, 705 passengers and flight attendants on the "Diamond Princess" cruise ship, and 14 Japanese government charter flights back to Japan.
A total of 12 deaths have occurred.
