Hand sanitizing fluids are now on the shopping lists. Everyone is searching for ways to prevent the Corvid-19 Corona virus. So what is the correct way to use these sterilizers? Is it really more effective than water and soap?

With the spread of the Corona virus in various parts of the world, the demand for protection methods, the most important of which are hand sanitizer fluids, that kill bacteria and viruses that cause diseases, is clearly increasing. But using these liquids incorrectly will completely deactivate them.

The correct way to use hand sanitizer can be summarized as follows:

1- An adequate amount of liquid must be placed, as the quantity plays the decisive role in the effectiveness of sterilization liquids that contain alcohol, and therefore a small amount is sufficient that it will fly quickly and not lead to the desired result, as Heinrich Gabriel, an expert in hygiene and microbiology in Hamburg, Germany, explains.

2- The sterilization liquid must reach all parts of the hands. Sterilization here includes only the parts on which the sterilization liquid or gel is applied.

3- The instructions for use must be read, as the product effectiveness period and the quantity that must be used vary from company to company, according to the German magazine Focus.

Experts also confirm that sterilization fluids are not always a magic solution. While it is necessary for doctors to work, for example, washing hands with soap and water works for the same purpose. Here, you must also adhere to washing hands with a sufficient amount of soap for at least 30 seconds, then wash them under running water and dry them well, as bacteria often collect on wet places.

Finally, do not forget to wash your hands once you go home and after touching trash and before cooking food and before using medications or cosmetics, and also after sneezing or coughing, in addition to getting used to not touching the eyes or nose.
