The male medical student was suspended from his studies in April 2019, after it emerged that he had contacted underage patients during his internship on social media. He has also lied about his age and said he is slightly younger than he really is, sent a picture of himself, and commented on the patient's appearance

Örebro University requested that he be permanently suspended, which the University's separation committee decided on. However, the student is required to have a mental disorder, substance abuse problem or is convicted of serious crime in order to be permanently suspended, which the student does not have according to a doctor's assessment.

The university's separation committee rejects Örebro University's request and the medical student can resume the program immediately and can count on the previously completed education.
