Esco said that she is 68 years old, she is a teacher of the Russian language by profession. A woman in the days of the GDR taught at the university.

“I am very happy and proud that during my studies I visited an internship in the USSR, in the city of Voronezh. I fell in love with Russian culture and the history of the great Russian people, thanks to him I had a peaceful and happy childhood, I could study at the university, become a teacher, ”she said.

The woman also reported that her husband Harald is 76 years old. His father emigrated from Nazi Germany and fought against fascism as part of inter-brigades.

The authors of the letter said that in May 2013, the members of the union in which her husband is a member donned their uniforms and laid a wreath at the foot of the monument to the fallen Soviet soldiers in Berlin, for which the prosecutor charged them.

“Such, unfortunately, is already in Germany revanchist and anti-Russian development. We are ashamed of it! ” They said.

The letter says that the teachings of NATO and the US Defender 2020 near the borders of Russia, as well as the revisionism of history by the Polish government and some Western countries, "humiliate and insult the achievements, sacrifice and heroism of the Soviet people, their leadership and 26 million dead."

“We bow deeply before you and say: thank you, Soviet soldiers, and all civilian fighters in factories and fields in the depths of Russia and the entire Soviet country, without which victory would not have been possible!” - stated the authors of the letter.
