According to the Korean Consulate General in Shanghai on January 1, the mask donated by Shanghai City arrives at Incheon Airport around noon (Korean time) on November 2 at 11:55 am local time on China Eastern Airlines flight MU5041, taking off from Shanghai Pudong Airport. .

The city of Shanghai sent 500,000 masks, three trucks, to the Consulate General of Shanghai last month to support South Korea's Daegu and Gyeongbuk areas, which are struggling with the spread of coronavirus infection-19 (Corona 19).

China Eastern, based in Shanghai, has announced that it will carry a total of 3 tons of mask cargo without any shipping charges after the news of Shanghai's mask donation was announced.

After arriving at Incheon International Airport, the mask will be handed over to the Korean Red Cross.

Most of the masks will be supported in Daegu and Gyeongbuk afterwards.

The Consulate General of Shanghai predicted that donation masks would arrive in Daegu and North Gyeongsang provinces as early as evening.

In addition, some masks will be delivered to Busan, the sister city of Shanghai, and to Jeollanam-do and Jeollabuk-do, which are friendly cooperation municipalities.

Of the donated masks in Shanghai, 100,000 are medical and the remaining 400,000 are KN95 masks.
