- We have looked at the power companies along the Lagan and their taps. They are on a Class 2 level today. The water has been falling since Friday, says Niclas Hjerdt, hydrologist at SMHI.

The downgrade means that the flows in Lagan go from extremely high to very high. And according to SMHI, it is believed that it will continue downward.

Risk of Class 3 again

- No major rainfall is expected in the next few days. It could possibly be Wednesday next week and then we will do a review, says Niclas Hjerdt.

He adds that the melting of the snow that has come probably will not have a great effect on the flows. Since it is still chilly, the process will go slow.

Is there any risk that it could return to a class 3?

- Yes it does, especially now that it is so close to the downgrade. There may be a single section of the Lagan that is still on a Class 3, but it is not enough to cover the entire river, Nicklas Hjerdt answers.

Nissan stands out

The warning in Nissan has been downgraded from a Class 2 (very high flows) to a Class 1 (high flows). This applies to the stretch from Hylte all the way to the sea.

- Nissan goes up fast when it rains but also goes down fast down it stops raining. It distinguishes most of the Dutch streams in that way, says Niclas Hjerdt.

SMHI also downgrades the warning for Ätran, to class 1. With regard to Viskan, the warning has been completely removed.
