A "particular vigilance" is necessary according to Météo France, which underlines that the storm comes after "a recent episode which could weaken certain structures". The departments concerned are located around Paris and in eastern France.

Storm Jorge crosses France on Saturday, particularly affecting the northern half of the country. In its passage, which should last between 2 to 3 hours, the wind will strengthen significantly, with gusts ranging from 90 to 100 km / h, or even locally 110 km / h. Météo France has placed 23 departments in orange vigilance.

The departments in orange alert are Aisne, Côte-d'Or, Bas-Rhin, Haut-Rhin, Haute-Saône, Vosges, Territoire-de-Belfort, Ardennes, Aube, la Marne, Haute-Marine, Meurthe-et-Moselle, Moselle, Paris and its inner suburbs, Seine-et-Marne, Yvelines, Yonne, Essonne and Val d'Oise. Météo France evokes a stormy episode "requiring particular vigilance insofar as it occurs after a recent episode which may have weakened certain structures."

At midday, the rainy front will interest Poitou-Charente, Center, Ile-de-France and Hauts de France. In the afternoon, it will affect the Grand-Est, where instability will develop, thunderclaps are to be feared. In the evening, it will position itself from Rhône-Alpes to the Jura and will take on a stormy character, the rain-snow limit will drop towards 1200m over the Alps.

A train and showers

At the rear of the disturbed passage, a train will be installed with showers in places, accompanied by gusts of wind up to 100/110 km / h on the coastal of the English Channel, (the 120 km / h can be exceeded on exposed caps), 60/80 inland. Isolated thunderstorms are possible, especially on the English coast.

In the southern half of France, the rain, light and sparse, will fall on Aquitaine, Midi-Pyrénées and the Cévennes. Sea entries will concern the PACA region. The Isle of Beauty will be spared with a variable sky.
