This Saturday, shortly after 6 a.m., a van and its trailer hit a bridge pile at the exit of Nîmes on the A9 in the direction of Lyon, report our colleagues from Midi-Libre .

Five people were killed in the accident. A 50-year-old man died, another of the same age was taken care of in serious condition. Three individuals, aged 9, 50 and 72 respectively, are injured but their condition is not worrying according to Midi-Libre . They were transported to the Nîmes teaching hospital.

As a result of this incident, traffic temporarily went from three to two lanes this Saturday morning, but should resume normal traffic before noon.
