Lots of white in contrast with spots of bright colors, purity of lines: Hermès invited to a walk in an abstract forest inspired by Mondrian for its parade of ready-to-wear winter 2020 in Paris.

The models have evolved in the middle of vertical white bars marked by red, yellow, green and black lines as if they came from the destructured paintings of the Dutch painter, one of the pioneers of abstraction.

The clothes interact with this invigorating decor in the premises of the Republican Guard: white coats and pants with red or yellow turtlenecks, mid-length knitted dresses with vertical colored lines or red-yellow-blue color block sweater.

Black and camel are available in leather sets consisting of a fitted jacket and a pleated leather skirt.

The double-breasted blazer of the pantsuits closes with three buttons at the bottom of the side.

The handbags from the house specializing in leather goods are small, graphic and colorful. Loafers and boots with wide, stable square heels provide a comfortable look.

"What is useful must be beautiful," writes Hermès in a note of intent for the parade.

Building on the success of its perfumes, the house founded in 1837, will launch in March in cosmetic products with a first collection of 24 shades of lipstick, a very competitive market that most of the big luxury brands have chosen to invest. .

The rechargeable metal case for this lipstick is made in the same color block aesthetic.

Hermès generates 50% of its turnover in leather goods and saddlery, its original profession. Clothing and accessories represented 22% of its sales in 2018.
