The chief designer of the Su-34 Rolland Martirosov died

“In Moscow, the 85th year of his life, the chief designer of the Su-34 front-line bomber, Rolland Martirosov,” the report said.

Martirosov came to work in Sukhoi Design Bureau in 1959 after graduating from the Sergo Ordzhonikidze Moscow Aviation Institute.

In 1991, Martirosov was appointed chief designer of the Su-34 front-line bomber. Under his direct supervision, the main technical solutions of the Su-34 were developed and implemented.

In early January, it became known that the chief designer of the BMP-2 and BMP-3, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of the Russian Federation Alexander Blagonravov, died at the age of 86.
