The world No.1, the Serbian Novak Djokovic, qualified for the final of the ATP 500 tournament in Dubai by beating the French Gaël Monfils (N.9), 2-6, 7-6 (10 / 8), 6-1 after saving three match points on Friday.
Djokovic, still undefeated this year, will seek a fifth title in Dubai (after those won in 2009, 10, 11 and 13) against Stefanos Tsitsipas (N.6). The Greek, already a finalist in the tournament last year, dominated in the first semi-final the Briton Daniel Evans (N.37), 6-2, 6-3.
Monfils, who remained on two titles in Montpellier and Rotterdam, lost again against Djokovic, whom he had never beaten in 17 confrontations.
