The zoo said that from February 9th, the nurses successively observed the appearance of vulvar swelling, vulva, over water, walking back and forth, running, soaking in water, etc., and the signs of entering estrus became more and more obvious. Combining various behavioral indicators and hormonal index and other professional numerical research and judgment, "Yuanyuan" reached the peak of estrus on February 27, so rushed to artificial insemination for "Yuanyuan" on the afternoon of February 26 and the morning of February 27.

Taipei Zoo spokesman Cao Xianshao said that whether or not the female panda becomes pregnant will delay the implantation process, and then the symptoms of suspected pregnancy will gradually appear, but whether "Yuanyuan" can successfully conceive and add another sibling to "Yuanzi", The prize draw will be held in June and July.

According to reports, experts from the China Giant Panda Protection Research Center visited the Taipei Zoo site every year during the breeding season of giant pandas in the past to provide valuable practical experience.
