Japan announced that it will dispatch Deputy Minister of Justice Masako Mori to Lebanon after its efforts to persuade former Nissan chief Carlos Ghosn to return, to complete his trial on charges related to financial irregularities, fail.

Hiroyuki Yoshi, Mori's deputy, is supposed to leave Tokyo today to meet the Lebanese justice minister and other officials.

"The accused (Ghosn) fled to Lebanon, we need to properly interpret the Japanese judicial system for the people there," said a Justice Ministry official.
